This Gen Z-lingo-addled interview is honestly better than Marc by Sofia in some ways. How do great designers ‘lock in’?

I know some of you care about crafting, so please allow me to share that I successfully DIY-ed a Blythe doll for my friend Annabelle’s birthday last weekend…It’s certainly an expert-level craft, but it’s so much fun. Highly recommend, particularly if you have an eye for tiny details and don’t mind inhaling sealants.

And at said birthday weekend, the supremely talented makeup artist Michaela Bosch tipped me off to a red lipstick even better than our collective beloved Fara Homidi: the Chanel Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue. I’m actually mystified by what kind of sorcery went into this lipstick, which stayed put (and left no marks on anything?!) through ten-plus hours of cocktails, cigarettes, karaoke, and playing sardines in a candlelit mansion—and only came off after a vigorous scrub with makeup remover in the wee hours of the morning.

If it ever gets warm in New York, I’ve just purchased these leopard velvet capris in the hopes that they’ll be cute with some ballet flats for running around town. We’ve also got so much amazing spring and summer stuff arriving at Mess, so do stop by if you’re in New York in the coming weeks! Here’s a little hint about something I’m really excited to have out in the sun:
