TRIMMINGS!
'Sustainability,' punk, pointelle.
The sun is shining, everyone’s in their Knicks jerseys, spirits are high! Rejoice! SUMMER IS HERE!
This is a great podcast about the Everlane sale to Shein and its broader repercussions for the fashion industry. Sustainability professor/former Timberland COO Ken Pucker is a wealth of knowledge on the economic and politics of ‘sustainable fashion,’ and I really admire his straight-talking demeanor. He brings up some strong points typically (and wrongfully) excluded from sustainability conversations as they pertain to clothing, like considering the actual planetary boundaries of fashion production and having end-of-life plans for every garment created.

My besties Pretty Relics created the shirts for Dover Street Market and Kei Ninomiya’s ‘OUR PUNK’ show at Pitti Uomo this week! Proud friend alert!!! And a reminder that we have other really special Pretty Relics tees in at Mess right now :)

I’m so into Prada S/S 2003 right now. Must find a way to wear goggles on my head this summer?

What’s your favourite pointelle camisole? Ideally something that could be worn without a bra but is also special enough to read as formal if need be, not too cropped, and not too expensive (under $80?).
