Jelly shoes: blistering, infantilising, and divisive. Yet they’re also lightweight, waterproof, and adorable—and there’s no denying that they’re the shoe of the summer.

But how to wear them without looking like a kindergartener? I’m never one to say no to a novelty item, particularly when it comes to footwear, so naturally I’m into jelly shoes. However, as someone who has a natural proclivity to wear things often categorised as ‘adorable,’ I sometimes feel like I need help styling them in a way that isn’t completely juvenile. To remedy this, I called in the advice of some very stylish women in my life who wear their jellies really well.
