It’s here: your annual dispatch of everything I wore at the most jam-packed week in my personal fashion calendar! I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’m turning 30 (more on that later this month…!) and feeling very staunch in my sartorial ways or if it’s a desire to rebel against street-style-bait dressing writ large during fashion weeks, but my main goal in putting together looks for this season was just to feel like myself. With the exception of one new-to-me dress, I packed only things that I already wear on a weekly basis back at home, and I was so happy with the results. I’m finding it very easy to get dressed these days; I know how I want to look, I know what lasts in my closet, and I know what feels great to wear. This is all making me very excited to my vision with you at my store, but you’ll have to wait just a tiny bit longer!
I will say there’s a certain magic to getting dressed in Copenhagen in that the unpredictable summer weather means one can basically wear any combination of things (mini shorts and a chunky sweater, wool trousers and flip flops) and be dressed appropriately. It’s the prime outfit-making climate. The famously beautiful flat Danish light also makes everyone look great—and photograph even better. I’ve got some very professional outfit photos for you this time, but when those are lacking you’ll have to accept mirror selfies in my less beautifully lit hotel room. I will never degrade myself by setting up self-timer anywhere, sorry!

This season marked Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen’s tenth anniversary (and her highly anticipated return to the CPHFW calendar), so I knew I would be wearing lots of her work, as I always do! I snagged this dress right before I left for Copenhagen, and I am very pleased with this disco ball of an outfit. This served me well throughout all of Day One…
